Everyone has their own reason for swimming. Some people swim for passion, competition, to stay calm and everyone decides their time when they can go swimming. But swimming at every time is not effective, there is a certain time, which is only effective for swimming.
Swimming helps you in many ways, including the health benefits, keeping this aside swimming is a recreational activity, which everyone should learn. The reason is that anyone can fall in any kind of situation including drowning in water, swimming rules will help you to get out of that situation.
Using hands as fin
When you enter the pool, then the very basic fear that everyone has is about balancing your body in the water. It is not easy to handle your body inside the water, so in order to start assuming your hands are fins. You might have seen fish swimming. They use their fins to pull water backward, and their body moves forward; this is how they swim in the water.
You have to do this same thing with your hands, pull water backward and automatically your body will move in a forwarding direction. This is the right or correct method to swim, and this method is effective in swimming.
Exhale into the water
The breathing process in water is quite complicated especially for those who are beginners and still trying to learn about it. The first thing which is taught about is the breathing process in water. When you are swimming at that time never exhale and inhale both together especially after taking your head out of the water.
You cannot get enough water just by putting your head out and inhaling and exhaling both. Exhale when you are present in the water, and inhale when you come out of the water. This is a process of breathing, and one should follow it if you want effective swimming and swimming by which you can learn something later on. This is a basic part of swimming which is taught to everyone.
Some of the basic rules of swimming for beginners
- Always try to swim with a buddy, if you are a beginner.
- Also, first swim in the areas where lifeguards are present.
- Don’t stay in the water when you are very tired, very cold, or overheated.
- Follow all the swimming rules that are mentioned in the swimming area.
- Obey all the instructions given by the lifeguard.
- Don’t swim in the water that is not clear or the bottom is not visible.
- Avoid swimming in an area that is dark at night.
- Don’t eat anything while swimming, you could choke.
- Don’t get rushed, or pushed near the water, it may be dangerous for you.
- Don’t swim in bad weather, like thunder or rain.
- Do not swim in the high current river, it can be hazardous for you.
- Do not do any type of dangerous stunt in the water.
